Warriors and Wizards Festival Coming to Jefferson, WI
4th annual event expands to more fandom favorites
The Warriors and Wizards Festival will be held in Jefferson, WI October 19, 20 and 21 this year. The festival has grown to over 50,000 attendees over the last four years since its inception in nearby Edgerton. This year’s event will expand beyond the Potter world to a wide array of fandom favorites featured on stages throughout the downtown area, Jefferson County Fair Park and the Quidditch Tournament fields.
Scott Cramer, creator of the Warriors and Wizards Festival says, “This year we’re addressing people’s desire to have more activities while maintaining a festival feel. There are magicians, traditional bands, singing sea faring mates and mermaids, a laser light stage show, and the Quidditch Tournament all included with this year’s wristband admission.”
The festival includes very special vehicles from popular movies including the TMNT Van, Landspeeder X-34 from Star Wars, 1966 Batmobile and the Ecto -1 from Ghostbusters. Cramer adds, “We will be hosting actors, actresses and behind the scene talent from various story lines like Super Hero, Castle and Throne, and Outer Space Travel Collectibles.” The Warriors and Wizards Festival will feature a variety of attractions, special events, and featured guests. Although costumes aren’t required, Cramer adds “we encourage our many fans to come dressed as their favorite character…another chance to show your cosplay creativity the week before Halloween.”
Official activities begin early Friday evening with opening ceremonies followed by a lighted parade at 7pm. The parade features area businesses along with dragons, glow spinners, and the celebrities who are joining the weekend of fun.
Adult weekend wristbands are $35 with children ages 3-12 at $15. For more event information got to WarriorsandWizardsFestival.com
